1. What are the advantages of the Century 21 Island brand over a local agency for you and your customers?
Our biggest advantage is that we are an internationally approved real estate agency serving as a franchise in the real estate sector on the island. In this context, with the power of the Century 21 brand, we serve our customers by reaching the international network. Every week, we introduce North Cyprus projects to C21 offices in various countries, with a system shared by all Century 21 agencies around the world. Thus, our access to foreign buyers becomes easier and we reach the environment that every agency has in a global context. This offers us the luxury of being the sole authority for large projects. From the point of view of our customers, both domestic and foreign buyers are comfortable working with a reliable brand that has this wide reputation. They have no difficulty in entrusting their real estate for sale. After all, trust lies at the heart of our business.
2. It is known that there are 3 important points in this profession for the agency; network, portfolio, consultant… Your network is C21, your portfolio is North Cyprus, what about consultants? How do the consultants work, do you have a training policy?
As Century 21 Island office, we are actually doing two-channel work. Cyprus and Turkey that is one of the domestic market, while the other covers services provided to foreign countries. Our team working in the foreign market is in charge of introducing our projects to the world under the name of C21 Island Fine & Estate. Our teammates in charge hold meetings with offices in foreign countries on certain days of the week, introduce the project in sales and share information. We have a specific Century 21 training for all of our team members, of course, and we use a continuing education system, not just the beginning. All agents must attend the trainings organized on the internet. In addition, there are C21 standard policies that we use to measure the performance of agents, they are applied. Improving the missing thing is of great importance for the careers of both our brand and our agents.
3. Do you have any advice for those who want to be a real estate agent, would you recommend this profession?
First of all, I would like to point out that this job is completely passion. It is a profession where you can do your job with love as long as you do not lose your excitement and passion. Another side is a sector with flexible working hours. If you are doing this job, your job will be your life. It is a profession that provides great emotional satisfaction as well, because with every sale, you are actually a means of an enterprise where someone will spend their lives and have a home. You make your customers' dreams come true. Because you offer them that house and help them buy, you have a share in this big decision they make. The commercial relationship between you and a customer you sell a house to transforms, and you become like family. This is a profession in which every individual who is open to development, strong human relations and high communication skills will be successful.
4. What are your evaluation for 2020 and your plans for 2021?
2020 had started very well for us, we were moving forward by achieving our goals, but then we closed to homes with the whole world with the Covid-19 process. After a while, we caught zero cases and the closing period ended, we returned to our job and made preparations for the next period. Especially in our digital infrastructure and website, we eliminated the shortcomings that we could not spare time in our normal business pace. We had the opportunity to do detailed studies for the portfolios of our consultants. Towards the end of the year, we grew with our new members, and in 2021, we are working to be the best on the island in the sector by being much better equipped, more ambitious and with much higher targets.
