The Coasts of North Cyprus
Iskele is an incredibly beautiful, three miles long coastline located between Long Beach, Famagusta and Boğaz. Being one of the unique coasts of Northern Cyprus, it strikes with its natural beauty.
With the implementation of Iskele Municipality Coastal Development Project for the last 2 years, this coast has become essential not only for vacationers but also for investments. Now, the coast has a colourful look with walking trails, bike lanes, forestation and lighting works, playgrounds for children, open air sports equipments which was organized within the scope of the coastal development project. It will become an activity and entertainment center of the region with ampitheathre, sports courts and fields, festival areas to be completed soon within the scope of the project. Its long coast is suitable for various sport activities, such as beach volleyball, windsurfing and scuba diving.
The Karpasia Peninsula National Park is famous for its wild donkeys and Caretta turtles. Its public beaches lie along the southern coasts. Besides, the Golden Beach, famous for its golden sands, is a beach that everyone should visit one day if they want to have a break and enjoy the life with Golden Beach’s virgin nature, heavenly beauty, quietness and calmness.
Glapsides Beach is 5 km long and one of the most beautiful beaches in North Cyprus. On the beach which is open to the public and the tourists, there are restaurants, cafes, parasols and sunbeds. It is also a suitable place for water sports enthusiasts and amateur divers.
Located behind the Salamis Ruins, Silver Beach is an attractive spot for diving with its beautiful reefs. Also it is a quiet and peaceful place with a few restaurants, equipped with sunbeds and parasols.
Palm Beach is an excellent beach where you can spend your holidays with its beautiful sand and, clear sea, sunbeds and parasols. Coctail and beverage service is carried out by the bars and cafes, and your drink will be delivered to your sunbed. In the 1960’s, this coastal strip became a frequent destination for world-famous people.
